The ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. Hossein Amiri, Director General of the Kerman Development Organization; Engineer Razavi, Governor of Sirjan; Engineer Bahrami, Mayor of Sirjan; Hojjatoleslam Walmoslemin Heydari, Acting Imam of Sirjan; Engineer Hamid Shahsavari, Director General of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone; members of the board of directors; regional officials; representatives of municipal agencies; and officials from the Kerman province's power sector.
According to the Regional Communications Department, the opening ceremony began with a special meeting in the conference room of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone. At this meeting, Dr. Hossein Amiri, Director General of the Kerman Development Organization, welcomed the participants and presented a report on the infrastructure development of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone. Speaking about completed projects, including the dry port and the logistics center, he emphasized their place within strategic plans aimed at strengthening the region's position in transportation, trade, and investment.
Subsequently, Dr. Hassan Asadi, Deputy Director of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone, detailed the southern access project for the region, stating, "This project, carried out in collaboration with the Sirjan Municipality, will greatly facilitate access for residents of the residential area as well as patients and visitors of Hazrat Fatemeh Al-Zahra Hospital (peace be upon him)." He added, "Previously, traffic used the Sirjan-Tehran road, which, in addition to lengthening the journey, increased the risk of accidents. This new route will contribute to improving road safety while reducing travel times." During another part of the meeting, engineer Takafli, CEO of Kianiero, presented a report on the commissioning of a three-megawatt rooftop solar photovoltaic power plant. He explained that this project, which required the construction of 18,000 square meters of structure and roofing, is one of the largest rooftop solar photovoltaic power plants in the country. He also announced the upcoming commissioning of another two-megawatt solar power plant.
Engineer Karimi, CEO of Behdad Electronic Company, the prime contractor for the solar power plant project, also spoke to explain the technical specifications, implementation phases, and advantages of this project in terms of clean electricity production and improved energy efficiency.
The Governor of Sirjan and the acting Friday Imam of Sirjan praised the infrastructure development of the Special Economic Zone as an effective means of boosting production, investment, employment, and the city's sustainable development. They emphasized the need to continue infrastructure projects and promote renewable energy. Following the ceremony, participants at the project implementation site officially inaugurated the southern gate of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone and the three-megawatt rooftop solar photovoltaic power plant.
The opening of these two facilities represents a significant milestone in the development of transport and energy infrastructure in the Sirjan Special Economic Zone and demonstrates the region's commitment to improving services for economic actors, increasing productivity, promoting sustainable development, and transitioning to clean energy.
Before the end of the ceremony, Mr. Hamid Shahsavari, Director General of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone, presented a plaque of appreciation to Mr. Bahrami, Mayor of Sirjan, for the sincere cooperation, constructive interaction, and decisive role of the Sirjan Municipality in the realization of the project to open the southern gateway of the Special Economic Zone. This plaque was presented in recognition of the municipality's support and participation in the implementation of this development project and in facilitating access to the Sirjan Special Economic Zone.
