Saturday, November 1, 2025

Under the leadership and guidance of Dr. Amiri, Director General of the Civil Engineering Organization, the first investment working group for the Sirjan Special Economic Zone has been established. Its objective is to strengthen mechanisms for attracting domestic and foreign investment and to optimize the use of the region's assets.
According to the zone's communication report, this working group was established to plan, develop policies, and coordinate investments. Its key members are the Director of the Special Economic Zone, the Deputy Director for Economic Development and Investment, the Deputy Director for Construction and Infrastructure, the Deputy Director of Finance, and the Director of Public Relations.
At its first meeting, held in the presence of Dr. Amiri, Director General of the Civil Engineering Organization, Engineer Vafaei, Director General of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone, and Dr. Abolhasani, the organization's Economic and Investment Advisor (via videoconference), effective solutions for the optimal management of the working group and the strengthening of its role in the region's development were examined. In his opening remarks, Dr. Amiri, emphasizing the importance of investment in the current context, stated:
"The working group is pursuing three essential missions: first, to prevent any potential harm to the region's activities; second, to remove obstacles to production and support existing industries, particularly during this period of sanctions and economic recession; and third, to attract new investors to develop activities and increase the region's economic capacity."
Furthermore, Dr. Abolhasani also offered suggestions to enhance the working group's effectiveness, emphasizing the need to develop action and operational plans. Engineer Vafaei, Dr. Asadi, and other deputies and officials present shared their perspectives and suggestions regarding facilitating investment processes and promoting exchanges with the private sector.

The establishment of this working group represents a significant step toward coherent decision-making, removing barriers to production, and creating an environment conducive to attracting capital to the Sirjan Special Economic Zone—an action that can foster the region's development and economic prosperity.
