A vehicle drill was held within the Sirjan Municipality Fire Department, in the presence of regional firefighters.
According to the Public Relations Department of the Sirjan Special Economic Zone, yesterday, on the occasion of Fire Safety Day, the firefighters of the special zone first went to the Martyrs' Cemetery to commemorate the martyrs of the Holy Defense. They then marched through the city's main streets, starting from Base 1 of the Sirjan Fire Department.Mehdi Najafabadi, Head of the Regional Fire Department, said: "In addition to operational and rescue measures, municipal firefighters must ensure that citizens are aware of the dangers and institutionalize the principle of prevention, as prevention is always less costly for society." Expressing his satisfaction with the work of the region's firefighters, he compared working in the fire department to a warrior's battle and a personal sacrifice. He said: "Every job has its particular difficulties and pleasures, but some jobs are very special, and firefighter is one of them." He added: "Being a firefighter is one of the most difficult jobs, a mixture of love and duty, always accompanied by anxiety, worry, sweetness and bitterness."
