The collection of dry pine leaves along the region's main boulevards is underway. This aims to better aerate the trees and prevent the spread of fungi and pests.
Razieh Atashafrooz, Regional Green Spaces Manager, said: "Since pine is an evergreen species that gradually sheds, the falling and accumulation of this conifer's leaves attract dust and promote diseases, especially fungi." She added that pine trees need to be aerated regularly. To this end, four members of the regional green spaces teams have been emptying dry leaves from the pine trees on Sazandegi Boulevard for the past month.
It is important to note that emptying dry pine leaves appears essential to increase productivity during spraying and foliar spraying, and to improve plant absorption.
