According to a press release from the Special Economic Zone, Hassan Asadi, the zone's director, stated regarding the exercise: "Field exercises were conducted at key locations within the Special Economic Zone to improve firefighter preparedness and strengthen the resilience of vital infrastructure to potential accidents."
He added: "During this exercise, which took place in the presence of all firefighters and the operational management responsible for health, safety, and the environment in the region, and in collaboration with the grain silo management, firefighting operations were carried out at strategic locations, and rescue operations were conducted on-site." Asadi emphasized: “One of the main objectives of these exercises is to practice coordination with industrial production units, warehouses, and critical facilities, to assess the rapid response of firefighters in crisis situations, and their ability to manage incidents in wheat and grain silos. These elements can effectively contribute to the continuity of strategic operations and food security.” He announced the continuation of operational maneuvers, conducted jointly by the HSE manager and the regional fire department, and added: “The aim is to strengthen operational readiness, review safety plans, and consolidate cooperation between the HSE office, the fire department, and the various centers operating in the region.”
