Sirjan Special Economic Zone is the first specially protected zone in Iran, which since September 1993, with the establishment and opening of the Iranian Customs Unit in the region, its activities in the form of construction and operation of 'warehouses and warehouses for transit, industry- production and assembly units And the category started with assistance and welfare services and accommodation.

This area covers an area of ​​1370 hectares and is located between the Tehran-Bandar Abbas transit road (the country's most important export and import port) and next to the airport in this triangle-shaped city. In order to support national production and develop non-oil exports and create mobility in the regional economy, it started operating under the special economic name of Sirjan. (It should be explained that the protected area of ​​Sirjan was renamed Special Economic Zone of Sirjan during the 22nd session of the Supreme Council of Free Zones).
